Looking at what successful marketers do can give you insight into how to build a lucrative internet attraction marketing business. There are a few things that they do habitually that you also need to do to be successful. The first and most important is to brand yourself. Make sure everyone knows that you’re there and what you are offering.
Don’t try to reinvent yourself for the internet. “To thine own self be true” is a philosophy that will serve you well. What do you believe in, what do know you will be great at, what truly interests and excites you? “You, Inc.” will have credibility if you are passionate about what you do, and passionate about doing it well. Your commitment will resonate throughout everything you do, and you will develop the reputation as a problem solver who gives the customer their money’s worth. Prosperity will follow.
Follow your passions, your values, and your interests. Build “You, Inc.” from day one. Brand yourself as a solutions provider and lead with value. The money will follow. I recently interviewed Ty Tribble, the number one network marketing blogger on the face of the earth and also one of the top 100 small business bloggers in the world. He re-emphasized to me how important it is to be real. Lead with value and be true to yourself. When you are truly yourself, you will have no competition, because there is only one you. Let your authentic voice come through.
That same message was echoed by Mike Klingler, the founder and co-owner of Renegade Professional – along with Ann Sieg. Mike told me that he advises all smart beginners to take some time for introspection. Recognize that you are a person of value who has a lot to contribute to any business enterprise. As a person of integrity, you naturally attract people to you when you try to help them solve their problems.
The internet is huge, with millions of people clamoring for attention. If you want any of that attention, you need to separate yourself from everyone else. Take some time to assess your strengths and weaknesses and determine what makes you unique.
If you brand yourself using these as principles that emanate from YOU, people will want to do business with you. Integrity and authenticity are valuable and rare in this world, and if that is the perception that customers have of you, it will make your business boom. It is easier to work hard, to make good decisions and outlast the competition if you are enjoying what you do and truly believe in it. Beliefs and character are not things you can manufacture or purchase. They are the source of your vision for yourself, and your creativity.
Rich Schefren (Internet Marketing guru) has said, “It’s often better to be different, than it is to be better.” This is especially true in online marketing where so many are following a cookie cutter approach to building a business. What makes you different and unique? It’s all about capturing – and keeping – other people’s attention. So don’t do things simply because other people are being successful doing that thing. Think about how you can add a unique spin to the product or service. Examine it closely to see what is lacking. Then you add that aspect. In the process you brand yourself as an expert and as the go-to person in your niche. Believe me, people will seek you out.

His words were “fall in love” with those who are actually using your product or service. They are what will make your business work, if you develop a relationship with them. Be there for them when they need you, and they will not forget you.
