Webmasters Tips – Dos and Don’ts When Designing a Website

Designing a website does not have to be a difficult process. But if you are new on this, it’s quite understandable if you are having a hard time coming up with a design that is neat and organized. Now to help you on this process, webmasters tips are provided to you.

Webmasters tips can help anyone who owns a website to have a fair concept on how to make their website load quickly, user-friendly, and easy to navigate. And to help you get started, here are the 3 common mistakes to avoid when designing a website.

1. Never use a splash page. This will get your site visitors more confused. It’s a great way to “brand” your website, there’s no doubt about that. But then again, most site visitors do not like the idea that they have to click on the logo of the splash page first before they can actually read on the site’s content. So, instead of using this method, better think of another way to “brand” your website.

2. Place a header that is not too large for the page. And when you say too large, it means you hardly see the title and some sentences the moment you land on the page; but instead, you are greeted with a giant header graphic. So, keep your header small to get your site visitors to stay longer on your site.

3. Do not put so many widgets and features. Failure to do this can lead to: one, a cluttered site, and two, a page that loads so slowly. Remember that a page that does not load up in just a few seconds loses web visitor’s patience. So get rid of not too important widgets to avoid this from happening.

Designing a website does not really have to be a mind-boggling task if you just keep these dos and don’ts in mind. To find more webmasters tips, feel free to browse www.lazyjon.com.
